Det første Lyngenskiltet installert

Lyngenskiltet offisielt åpnet

Lyngenskiltet er et stedsskilt utformet i stål, med dansende bokstaver i inntil fire meters høyde. Dette er montert på en betongsåle som er 14 meter lang og cirka en meter bred. Det hele er belyst fra et lyspunkt, samt dekorert med stolper som rager xx meter til værs. Første installasjon er montert mellom Giæversenteret og fergeleiet på Lyngseidet.

Lyngenløftet ønsket opprinnelig å installere fire Lyngenskilt i Lyngen kommune. Foreløpig har kommunestyret gitt tillatelse til å sette opp skiltet på Lyngseidet. Nå jobber Lyngenløftet for å finansiere ytterligere tre skilt, som er tenkt satt opp på tre ulike steder i Lyngen. Beslutning om hvor disse vil bli montert fattes når skiltene er finansiert, og kommunestyret har fått saken til behandling.
